Remember...

To those who follow my blog would know my good friend Shell lost her baby girl on the 5th of December at just 8 days old. It devastated us all. Her name was written in the sand. If you ever find yourself walking on sand, please write her name and capture the moment. It doesn't matter that you didn't know her...this person didn't know her but she has given Mary-Jane's family love and hope. Please email me your photo and I will pass it onto Shell...she would be touched. Thank you.

Heidi's first sunrise

Our dear little Heidi May has been sleeping through the night for 2 weeks now - what a blessing! She was up at 6.30am for her first feed this morning and as I watched her as she fed, I thought to myself...my girls will naturally grow up understanding and respecting rules, routines and traditions in life but I also want to teach them to be spontaneous and unpredictable, to learn, laugh, be happy and thankful for what they have.
So, on that thought the moment Heidi finished her feed I changed her nappy, threw on some warmer clothes and took her to watch her first sunrise...

The lady who took the photo kind of forgot to include the sun!

We viewed the sunrise from 3 different spots in Williamstown. It was hazy from the fires but still very beautiful...peaceful.

The Toy Society Drop - Valentine's Day

Made my drop for The Toy Society early this morning. Mixed emotions being out though...there was an eeriness in the atmosphere, sunrise glowing and the air filled with haze and smell of smoke, sadness for the lives lost in the bushfire's but also a sense of calmness being by the water. I was also anxious some early jogger would stop me and ask what I'm doing hovering around a children's playground at 7.30am!

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope Owl goes to a special home. Although, I do believe we shouldn't have to mark a day of love - we should love everyday unconditionally. Hmm so there...

Bag for Fe and Owls for Grandpa

Happy Birthday Fe! It went smoothly until I got to the straps (bruised sewing machine and wall...hand fine).

Also, Happy Birthday Grandpa! From Amelie the Owl & Heidi the Owl...these were fun, fun, fun to make. They were so much fun to make I made another for the Toy Society Valentines Day drop...awww I hope it goes to a good home. I enjoyed coming up with the pattern and selecting lovely fabrics.Amelie the Owl
